Urban Landscapes in Photographs and Drawings
Why Industrial Landscapes?
When I first moved to Pittsburgh in the early 1980s, I was immediately drawn to the steel mills and factories that lined the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio rivers. I had never experienced architecture on that scale before. The Homestead Works occupied over 500 acres and stretched for 3 miles, and that was just one of the many mills. Since then, I have photographed and drawn a number of factories and warehouses across the country. You can find prints of these works for sale in a number of places.
